REACH regulation

REACH entered into force on 1 June 2007 with implementation taking place in stages in the years to 2018. All chemicals, already on the EU market, had to be pre-registered from 1 June 2008 until 30 November 2008.

As Sisterna B.V. is the importer of more than 1 t/a sucrose esters from outside the European Union (EU) for specific non-food applications, it has pre-registered all C-grade sucrose esters. In the course of 2016 Sisterna's mother company DKS Co. LTD., and the producer of the sucrose esters, has taken over the registration process from Sisterna through an OR (Only Representative). The registration deadline for all our pre-registered Sisterna products is 31 May 2018.

During this process, distributors and downstream users of sucrose esters must assist DKS Co. LTD in providing info on use, tonnage and exposure scenarios's and contribute to collecting data and testing.
