Sisterna is established in 1992 as a joint venture of Dai-ichi Kogyo Seiyaku (DKS) and Royal Cosun (Netherlands).

DKS produces and promotes sucrose esters under the brand name ‘DK esters'. Their main markets are in the Eastern Hemisphere with a strong emphasis on Japan.

Under the Royal Cosun umbrella are various (European) food ingredient producers.

Sisterna imports the sucrose esters of DKS into the Netherlands where our warehouse and office is located. Our sucrose esters are promoted under the brand name ‘Sisterna'. Our main market is the Western Hemisphere with a focus on Europe and North America. Exclusive distributors are appointed for the focus areas.

The Sisterna team is dedicated to promoting and selling sucrose esters. Our experts are specialised in the food and personal care market and can assist with technical guidance.

All applications are developed at the Cosun Food Technology Centre with specialists and equipment for numerous applications.
